Revolution Trains is entering TT:120 with its popular MMA/JNA box wagon already produced in OO and N.

There are around 1200 of these box wagons in service and they are operated by numerous freight operators and Network rail. They form the ideal accompaniment for Hornby’s upcoming TT:120 Class 66 locomotives in DB , GBRf and Colas liveries.

The Revolution model will conform to existing TT:120 standards and will initially be offered in DB red, GBRf steel blue, Ermewa grey, Mendip Rail silver and Wascosa/Network Rail yellow with prototypical variations in brake equipment, ribs and bodyside doors. The models will be supplied with moulded ‘loads’, which can be removed if the customer wishes to operate the wagons as empties, and each version will be available with five different running numbers.

Revolution’s Mike Hale said:  “TT:120 is an exciting new option that finally gives British enthusiasts models with the correct combination of scale and gauge. With our reputation for innovation and quality, it is a logical step for Revolution Trains.”

Co-director Ben Ando added: “Hornby has done a remarkable job of launching this scale from a standing start in Britain, but they can’t do everything and their Class 66’s are crying out for a big modern wagon to pull. We intend for the MMA/JNA to be just the start of our range in TT:120 and if it’s a success we will look to other models in our range that would benefit the new scale.”
