New releases for Bachmann narrow gauge

Bachmann has unveiled its next Limited Edition model, available exclusively to members of its Collectors Club. Mainline Hunslet ‘Linda’, modelled in 2-4-0 Saddle Tank with Tender (2-4-0STT) format is to appear for the first time. Depicting the locomotive as it ran in the 1990s, with a stovepipe chimney and a tender equipped for oil firing, this Bachmann Narrow Gauge model is finished in Ffestiniog Railway Midnight Blue livery, edged in black with white lining.

Two models are available now, in standard format or with sound-fitted, and both versions feature firebox lighting, a pre-fitted speaker, NEM coupling pockets, Next18 DCC interface and are supplied with etched name and works plates. Sound-fitted models are pre-fitted with a Zimo sound decoder allowing sounds to be operated on both analogue and DCC straight from the box.

500 models have been made – the standard model (391-135K) can be purchased for £206.96, while the sound-fitted version (391-135KSF) is available at £296.96.

Dinorwic Slate Wagons

In other news, two new wagons join the Bachmann Narrow Gauge OO9 scale range with the Dinorwic Slate Wagons modelled as both flatbed wagons and with sides. The flatbed wagons were used to move slabs of slate from the rockface to the processing buildings, while wagons with sides transported finished slates around the quarry and onwards to transhipment sites.

Both wagon types are available in packs of three wagons, and each is offered in either grey or red colour schemes – the wagons with sides also include dressed slate loads. See your local Bachmann stockist for further details and information.
