Metcalfe Models announced as an NEC show sponsor

The show over the weekend of November 23^rd and 24^th at the NEC in Birmingham promises to be the UK’s biggest model railway exhibition, with over 60 of the country’s best layouts already confirmed. The list of traders is also vast with more being added each week, including yesterday's announcement that Hornby Hobbies will be attending.

Paula Thompson, Metcalfe’s marketing director, had this to say about the sponsorship: “We are extremely excited to be sponsoring The National Festival of Railway Modelling in November. We have a great relationship with Warners Group Publications, so it made sense to come onboard as a sponsor for what's going to be a fantastic two-day show at the NEC in Birmingham. We are always supported really well by many of the great trade stands at these shows who sell a wide range of our kits.”

Paula went on to reveal that Metcalfe will be releasing a new kit in time for the show: “We are also excited to announce a new high street shop - No1 Market Street (pictured), a Timber Framed stand-alone building with plenty of character, a kit that will look great on any high street layout. A full video of how this kit can be built will premiere in the World of Railways Plus Cinema. You will also be able to purchase this kit along with our new 00 scale Terraced House range & our new Roofing Pack, a selection of different roof styles to help customise your buildings at the show from many of the trade stands selling Metcalfe Models.”
